Making a small closet chic is all about maximizing the space you have while adding style and functionality. Amazon has some great, affordable pieces to help you transform your closet into a mini boutique!

Here are some ideas to help you achieve a chic look for your small closet:

  • Declutter: The first step to creating a chic closet is to declutter. Go through your clothes and accessories and get rid of items you no longer wear or need. This will free up space and make it easier to organize your belongings. Plus, this will give you an incentive to add some new pieces back in! (perfect logic, right?!) I love going through clothes after every season change to make room for new pieces.
  • Use the Right Hangers: Invest in slim, non-slip hangers in a uniform color or style. This not only saves space but also creates a clean, cohesive look. These ones are our favorite!
  • Lighting: Good lighting can make a small closet feel more luxurious. Consider adding LED strip lights or a small, stylish chandelier. Proper lighting also helps you see your clothes and accessories better. We love this battery powered option for a quick and easy fix.
  • Paint and Wallpaper: Choose a paint color or wallpaper that reflects your personal style. Soft, neutral colors can make a small closet feel larger, while bold patterns or deep hues can add a touch of drama. For that super chic feel, you could opt for darker wood shelving or paint the inside of your closet a chalky black hue like this one.
  • Shelving and Storage: Install shelves, cubbies, and drawers to maximize the use of vertical and horizontal space. Adjustable shelving systems allow you to customize the layout to suit your needs. This vertical shoe storage system is a must have for a small space.

Baskets and Bins: Use decorative baskets and storage bins to keep smaller items organized and add a touch of style to the closet. These storage bins with lids are so cute.

By combining organization, aesthetics, and personal style, you can turn a small closet into a chic and functional space that you’ll enjoy using every day!

What tip was your favorite?

Our home was originally built in the 60s and had already been through a remodel in the 80s. It had good bones but they were hard to see under the later revisions. Ariana’s team went straight to the elements that needed to be preserved and highlighted them. The kitchen/dining room has been opened up amazingly and we’re very happy with it. In addition to the design efforts, we really value the 3-D renderings. It makes it much easier to talk with tradespeople about what we want to be done and how, and prevents miscommunications. Five stars for the Honeycomb team!
