Our client wanted marble and she got...marble! This master bath features honed calcutta 12 x 24” marble floor tiles. Each piece was laid out prior to setting to ensure that there was a good assortment of veining throughout the tiles. It was a painstaking process, but it was worth it.
Since the flooring had a lot going on, we kept the tile wainscot simple with a white handcrafted tile but added a small border of a calcutta mini-brick pattern. We carried the marble into the shower on the bench as well.
Accenting the marble are polished nickel plumbing fixtures. They have a warmer look than traditional chrome, but still have that shine that glams up any space.
We kept all of the other finishes in this space neutral so the leading star, marble, could take the main stage.
